Pushing some snow around this afternoon, and just as I dumped the bucket, the amber warning light came on and I lost all hydraulics and transmission. Got the code '4431' which is "Park Brake" - Switch Plausibility Check So I'm guessing it's either the switch, or it's circuit. My other skid is a Bobcat, and PARK goes 'clunk' as a pawl or some mechanical device engages to hold the machine. This Case park is silent, so is it a friction brake, or is it a positive engagement of some sort? So, left it in the snow bank for now. I was lucky the arms were high enough to open the door. Last time I was 'trapped' in a skid loader, I bailed out the emergency hatch.. not fun to do, nor to put the glass back in the molding. I just hope the arms don't settle during the night!!! I'm about 1/4 mile from the shed... And according to the OM, 'moving a disabled machine' is possible, but not recommended. which for their sake, is easy to print. I figure to snag the rear hooks, then back up to it with a mfwd. and tow it SLOWLY on the snow packed road. If the park holds the tracks, I should be able to just skid it along. The treads should pack full of snow, and become fairly smooth and slick. Oh, BTW, the replacement turbo seems to be working fine. |
