We've planted an oats and turnips mix in the past and grazed it off. The turnips are 18% protein, made some excellent cattle feed. Just had to make sure you didn't get within 10 feet behind them when riding the 4 wheeler.

The year, we are going to try some cow peas. They say you can grow up to 100 units of N.
