Central Missouri | As a continuation, Monsanto is a well run company with a brilliant business plan. They have good products and good people. Here is what I did on my farm this year and I explained to them why. Many of the reasons are above. I planted 90% other company corn. Cost was 30/bag less. Yield data shows I gave-up 3 bu/a. But when it came to replant time the 75% policy shined against Monsanto. I planted 100% non-GMO beans for full season. I have for years and will continue. I'm planting 100% liberty link for doublecrop. I let the Monsanto reps know this and why. They understand some people will do these things.
I pressed this point home at our meeting. Monsanto's trait policing policy makes farmers guilty until proven innocent and farmers don't have the financial means to defend themselves. That is wrong in the USA.
