"Some just don't want to fight to make it work"
I'm a female in this newagtalk group.  I'm also a member of a Farm wives Facebook forum that has a lot of younger farm wives in it.
Here are a few of the comments I'm garnering off that FB group.....
There are a lot of disgruntled farm wives out there because they feel pretty low on their husbands priority list.
The farm takes all the time. The farm takes all the money.  It's either struggling to survive or it's in constant growth mode.
It's really lonely for the young gals who are home all day with young kids and less help around as Grandmas & Grandpas are on the move or traveling or living elsewhere.
There are gals upset with guys who don't shower frequently - or think once a week is enough.
There are guys who expect food in the fridge, meals on the table, laundry done, the wife available to help when livestock is out or errands need run, even tho she's got her own career she's trying to do.
There's little time for social activities because by the end of the day, if she's worked on the farm she feels dirty, less feminine and tired.
There's constant anxiety over how everything is going to get done, the financial risks, the injury risks over long days, etc.
They miss the interaction of their female friends because there's less opportunity for girl gathering in the rural area.

Just something to think about. We're nearly 40 years in on our marriage.  There are days it's not easy, but we're committed.  However in this day and age, there are more and more that just don't want to fight to make it work because they are just tired and they are of the mind-set that life's too short to stay with something that's not working, especially when they don't see change happening any time soon.
