Feel like without no-till, I would have never been able to make it in farming. Been no-tilling since 1983, and it helped yields in the really dry years. Felt like instead of buying equip., was instead able to take chances on buying land when prices fell in the 80's and 90's. Fairly routinely raise around 250 bu. corn and plus 70 bu. beans with less inputs than many, and with the majority of acres being HEL with quite a bit of treeline and wildlife. If I can get pics to load, pic of beans was combining the day after over 8" of rain fell the previous 10 days. No ruts. I do plant corn on NH3 strips, both fall and spring applied, call it what you want. Wouldn't want to try much corn on corn w/o strips to plant on. Imo few things oxidizes more C to the atmosphere than full tillage.
