I did like you , went to Wal-Mart and got some lasagna pans per Ag Leaders recommended sized pans..

I used some long 4" aluminum gutter nails, and just poked a hole thru the bottom, and stuck them in the ground.
I also took some 4ft wide black plastic visqueen and rolled out 100 ft, same way tacked it to the ground with those gutter nails, started at one end and kept pulling it taught and every so far where it needed one, popped in a nail. Worked really good actually, then I laid the pans on top per my New Leader manual, It let me see what was in the pans and how it layed out between the pans.

Worked for my cereal rye test too.

Amazing what a hole or 2 on the diffuser or 100-200 rpm difference on the spinner speed does, kinda cool.

I have a 60 ft spread on an older L3020 truck, but once I laid out 200 ft, and was able to see my overlap pattern. Leaf blower works good to clean off and retest.
