| If they are better than an R1 tire they are going to be vastly better than R4 tires. It's not just about tread design, rubber compound makes a huge difference and Nokian know more about cold weather tire compounds than anybody else.
Our county has one grader running on snow tires (I don't know what brand) and when the other 5 graders ran on chains for two weeks the one on snow tires ran without chains. | |
