That my general understanding of IL law. You can’t charge a surveyor with trespassing, but you could require them to only survey on foot and pursue damages if they use vehicles.
I would think a pipeline company would see the logic of paying a smaller amount to you to allow the surveyors to use vehicles than pay the surveyors a larger amount to walk around on foot.
