SWOH
1. Get rid of all the “fan zone” garbage in the infield. I know they meant well but a lot of money for crap.

2. Make the cars look like regular cars. They lost the gear head fans. They lost the Ford and Chevy fans. I know they’ll say it’s a nightmare for inspection and trying to get a level playing field...but let the manufacturers come up with their own stuff.

3. Get rid of the stupid Hawkeye crap for inspections and let the guys get creative.

4. No stage racing, no Chase. Guy with the most points at the end of the year gets the trophy. I don’t care if they don’t win a race.

5. I don’t know what you do about it but the drivers, or not many, have to work on the cars anymore. They wouldn’t wreck ‘em if they had to work on them and had some financial skin in the game.

6. As Mark Martin pointed out on one of his podcasts, it will never be like it used to be...it’s impossible, not any different than anything else. Most youth today aren’t car nerds. A lot of them don’t even want to get their driver’s license when they turn 16 anymore. That was almost unheard of when I was a teenager. Cars and racing don’t have the same appeal to the youth of today like they used to.

7. Bring back Wilkesboro and Rockingham. Dump either California or Michigan. 2 races at Darlington. Get rid of the Brickyard, it’s not a stock car track.

8. Lower the ticket prices. If I’m going to spend money I’m going to the little dirt tracks or bullrings. I’d rather watch an ARCA race at Winchester than go to Michigan or Pocono for what it costs.

9. Money ruined NASCAR...ban sponsors on the cars.
Take the money out of it and find out what teams want to race for the trophy.

10. And I hate to say it...they made it too safe. They’d use their heads a little more if it hurt to wreck like it used to. I’m sure it still hurts, but not like it used to.
