swohio | As someone who grew up on Indy cars, was introduced to stock cars by a friend at work in the late 70's. Ended up watching all kinds of racing. NASCAR just took over, now Indy cars and IMSA is way more fun to watch. Indy cars because you can't run over someone, touch tires, to me way more skill needed, plus Indy cars now run so many different types of tracks, makes for better racing, its not perfect either, but none of this BS chase stuff, no stages, if race ends under caution, well that"s a part of it. Use to watch IMSA years ago and went to some of their races, now very interested in them again. NASCAR needs to run on the road course at Daytona in the summer, IMSA PUTS ON A GREAT SHOW THERE! What a mess yesterday. I had tickets for almost 20 years to the Brickyard, back in the day the stock cars put on a good show there, not anymore, now the Indy 500 is back on top by a huge margin, never thought that would happen. | |
