Central ND | I have no idea what people want to fix about Nascar."they" will figure it out". I myself have Mixed feelings...IDK, Everyone should go just once to see how it feels. Ive never been a raceing fan but thought I must be missing out.Dont get me wrong, it was sort of fun when I did go. A few years back I went to Nascar/vegas/ to see what Im missing. The first thing I was missing was the ear plugs.( my own fault, but I bought some there that I thought sucked) The second thing I was missing was the veiw I get on TV on my couch which is better than at the track by a log shot..Another thing I was missing was the dirt I ate at the race. Now I dont mind gettng dirty but it didnt impress some of the folks around me on vacation in nice WHITE clothes.A lot of the dirt appearded to be black tire rubber kind of dust. I also missed sitting still in trafic jam for 6 miles before the enterance to the race. heck, we got passed on the road by a guy on a wheel chair.(true story) Another thing I missed while on the couch was(now this has some cool factor to it) ... I did not realize how much air gets pushed by a bunch of high speed passing cars and how much wind that makes, and how much you could feel the breeze hitting you part of the way up in the stands in the right circumstances.
When you get to the races in person for the first time you realize that power of these cars is no object what so ever.IT is ABSOLTLEY AMAZING in person to feel the vibrations in the air,and the high piched "POWEr buzz" OF A percision powered machine...... but only if you like that sort of thing because it is hard on you hearing. But there is no thrill over WHO has more power, because EVERYONE there has way more than enough. The driving is interesting to see,but I am ALMOST certain that the days winners are picked before the race ever starts.Ya know, the kind of thing where someone was ahead all the race long and runs out of fuel a 1/4 of a lap short of the end kind of thing because "he didnt get all his fuel into the tank at the last pit" (: Every one knows if you are pulling out and overpowering everyone there you are going to be short of fuel to stay in front all the time. The whole thing remids me of the old TV show of All star wrestleing where its just a show folks, just a show..
That said, I cant imagine the "RUSH" factor it creates to run any of those cars as the DRIVER......HOLY CRAP your life it flying by in front of you FAST when stuff on the track goes wrong and cars and walls are coming up to hit you and bounce off of!
