I had an IVT go bad in a tractor, its more to repair than the tractor is worth. JMO, but I would look at 7000 series w loaders, they ride much better than the 6000s, esp if you're gonna spend 8 hours pulling a planter.
A 7000 series will ride a bit better with its longer wheelbase. But that feature will make it a little more clumsy if you have a lot of tight areas.
I never understood the concern of rough riding in a 6X series tractor for planting. What kind of rough fields do you fellows plant?? A rough ride planting with a 6X tractor would be the least of my worries.
But we are 100% continuous notill, and our fields are smooth. Actually smoother than some of the roads around here!! No kidding! |
