Subject: Re: 9 mm combat handguns

Yorktown, TX
I would never buy a Glock again. Had two bad experiences with them, and I'll never hold another one. The composite grip flew apart in my hand when I fired them. They say that happens when a shell has been chambered multiple times, and I say it doesn't do it on other guns. Out of the ones you mentioned, I would go with the Sig Sauer. In a 9mm I like the Walther P99. Very good gun. Like the design, the grip, pretty much everything. I have most of the Walther pistols because they are all relatively the same, just different calibers. Got a Walther P22 at Christmas with a threaded barrel and a silencer ($200 permit and the silencer is about $180). Works good for killing varmints outside the house at night and not waking anyone up.
