That is a real shame. I'm so sorry to hear about this. That is some major damage.
We have teenage "hoodlums" around here too. Within 2 days of me putting up a new mailbox, somebody came along and smashed the top of it in, about a baseball-bat size dent. Fine. It can stay like that then. Been that way for 5 years now.
