Von, if your auger is like most,the string controlled valve is Normally open between the pressure and return hoses so the fluid is by-passing the motor. When you pull the string, the valve closes and forces the oil to flow through the motor. You just need to install a 12VDC N.O. poppet valve to do the same and control it with what ever type of switch you please.
Augermate and 12 volt Hyd shut offs.
