Installing a Augermate on my seed wagon. Have a couple questions. Augermate has a control valve with detent lever mounted to it which will give forward and reverse to hydraulic motor. My auger has a simple string operated control valve to shut it off and on. If I run it just like this will I damage the Augermate by deadheading the hydraulics when I turn the valve off ? Or will it build to a pressure limit and then bypass ? When it by passes will it bump the valve handle back to neutral ? If I install one of those 12 v solenoids to control oil flow and shut off the auger it appears that you must press and hold the button down to run the auger ? Is there a way to reverse this so it runs continuously and holding the switch stops the auger ? Would be easier to hold down a button when moving from box to box than holding the button down while filling each box. Any ideas on which valve setup is the best and the best source/price for them. Shoup has a Fasse 700-1100 solenoid valve with fittings wiring harness etc. Sloanex has basically the same thing. Lundell Plastics has just a valve for a good bit cheaper but no wiring or switch Summit Hydraulics, Force America & Surplus Center likely have the same sort of setups but unknown if comparing apples to apples. Don't foresee needing or wanting wireless remote capability at this time. Simple push button would be sufficient just not wanting to have to hold down a button to keep auger running. Thoughts or ideas ? Anyone have pics of their similar setups ? Any issues or problems to be aware of ? Trying to decide this since Shoup has the 10% off this coming week. |
