you're dwelling on something that is irrelevant. Guys have been belittling their neighbors for a long time and it has nothing to do with ethnicity. I see 40,50,60 year olds acting childish all the time, trying to belittle a young guy trying to get started, pointing out everything he does wrong and generally making fun of them, the equipment he uses, the ground he farms, or trying to complicate their life trying to be a roadblock for them. I see cocky 20,30 year olds who think they know everything acting out with the arrogance they learned from their parents as they eat from a silver spoon handed down through a couple different generations. Point is, there are rotten people in every group. Put your head down and avoid and ignore all the negativity, and concentrate on being the absolute best rep for the product you're selling and follow it up with lots of good support, and you will be successful. You'll hear the negative talk, but you got to just plow ahead. You'll never do enough to make them think positive about you and their goal is to tear you down, so don't let them succeed. Forget about all the race, ethnicity, gender differences, they are irrelevant in you being a success with the product you're marketing. Customers want a salesperson who knows the product and how to make the successful with it, go be that salesperson.
