Southwestern Minnesota | I have a Fitbit tracker. I have worn it for several years. I use it to track steps, my heart rate and sleep cycle. Fitbit makes more expensive ones with more bells and whistles, so you can get the features you want. I like it to track steps and my goal is 10,000 every day. It works well to keep me moving. I started using a Fitbit about 4 years ago. I also invested in the Fitbit scale that syncs up with the tracker so that my weight would be tracked. I also started logging my food intake on My Fitness Pal (a free app) and synced that up with the Fitbit as well. The formula for weight loss isn't rocket science. If you eat less than your body needs you lose weight. If you eat more calories than your body needs you gain weight. By being aware of your calorie intake and the amount of exercise you do, and watching the scale, you can see how the food and exercise affect your weight. It worked well for me- I lost the 40 pounds I wanted to lose and have managed to keep them off. | |
