A widow woman was my next door neighbor for several years. She shut the heat off the upper level of her old uninsulated house to save on propane and a/c. She asked me to bring down a chair from upstairs once and I noticed all the plaster had spider-web cracks all over the ceiling and walls but the downstairs plaster seemed good. I assume it was the result of no heat.
