Subject: RE: Question for air to air heat pump owners???

Western Iowa
I put a top of the line air to air about 10 years ago. Hate the thing.

I would blow the thing out once a year. One guy recommended I take the covers off and blow it off better. The coils were pretty exposed, so I thought it was a waste of time, but did it anyway. Stripped the outside unit down to a coil sitting on the stand. HOLY COW did I get stuff off of it. Ran the best it ever had for about 6 months before something else went wrong with it.

Guess what I am saying is they freeze up from lack of air movement. Start there. Think of it like a tractor, no real difference but for the fact it can 'swap' the condenser and evaporator. If the cab was freezing up on a 4430, what would you do?
