I don't know about regular tow ropes but with kinetic energy ropes they suggest one with a rating 3x the weight of the pulling vehicle, with a tracked machine pulling you might need a higher rating than that.
Yes I agree. The guy delivering fuel one spring took the wrong approach into our yard and was buried. Being we were seeding at the time the only pull tractor we had was a D6 the rope he had was big enough to get him out but It stretched 6-8’ after I had it snug. I didn’t think it would go that much. |
