If you go into the "natural food" stores they have a lot of uncured meat. Noticed Uncured bacon was $5.95 for a package of 6 slices.
I think the "healthy" eaters believe anything cured is bad for you.


I can't speak for everybody, but I have trouble with cured meats with lots of nitrates and salt if I eat them late in the evening in excess. Hot dogs and sausages are the worst. Gives me a raging headache the next morning sometimes.
