It doesn't really matter what the percentage of player's kneeling is, it's that the league didn't put a stop to it.
Whether the majority of people think it's an insult, or support it as a demonstration of free speech, the league alienated some people by their inaction.
Whether those people would have watched the game or not, is debatable.
I thought it was an insult, but it's time to move on, I will watch the game.
If some people "want to get their panties in a wad", I guess they're exercising their right of free speech.
