south central Minnesota | Don't let these guys scare you! We have done it for 25+ years. We have a cat35 with saddle tanks. Yes it does slow you down a little bit, but when I pull out of the field I'm done. I can't tell you how many times the neighbors have been screwed by not getting the pre on and it starts to rain. It really depends on labor, are you the guy planting and spraying? If so, it will be faster doing with planter. If you have somebody that can follow you around without being supervised than let them at it. Don't worry about wind, the nozzles are so low to ground it won't make a difference.
