East Kansas, DeSoto | While dynamiting stumps and clearing timber back in the late 40's we found a perfectly round rock about 8 inches in diameter and decided to launch it. Dug a little hole in the hard dry ground and installed several sticks of dynamite. Hid behind a dozer blade in case rock shattered. Set it off and it went nearly out of site and when it came down in buried in the hard ground almost 2 feet. Decided never to try this again. Gifford | |
