North End I-15 | I made a .22"Zip Gun" from a section of car antenna . Worked wonderful for a while , Youth has a way of disregarding all common sense . I test fired it from a vice . Very simple rubber band powered firing pin /hammer mechanism . It was self ejecting . It was a pistol that never got beyond the vice firing stage . Had just enough sense to not try it in the hand . I think my dad found it and destroyed it . Got my first real pistol shortly there after with Dads blessing . :>) It was a Zepher , a real saturday night special . Blew about as much lead out the sides of chamber and barrel mouth as went down the barrel .
I walked in to a sports shop @ age 15 and spent all of $15 on it . Only question was ...."Does your Dad know you are geting this ?" "Of course , he took my Zip Gun away ...". | |
