I started a new thing this year that everyone puts money in the pot and the person at the end of the season that shoots the most does, takes it all. It added a little more to the comradery in the group.
I like it^^^^. We have the same problems.
I'm a big fan of slings, not as a carry strap but for shooting. I use a Ching sling but it requires a third stud. The Rhodesian sling doesn't and still works well for tightening up.
