Subject: RE: Westfield Auger Hitch Bracket

NC KS
I have a pto powered truck loading auger that I converted to gas engine drive with Westfield's kit. Both are very well balanced. My gas drive uses a v belt that straddles the auger. Motor sets below auger tube and between transport braces. Looks inconvenient but works very nicely. They also make a mount for electric motor there but run longer belts parallel to tube to a pto style gearbox. I think they mount some gas engines in almost same place but use longer belts to run a pto style gearbox.

Other style of electric motor drive mounts motor on top of tube and drives pto box with belts.

Browse around this website to learn more. Beaver Valley is Westfield central out here in Kansas and Nebraska.

I don't see the electric and gas engine drive that drove with longer belts. Maybe that was some other manufacturer.
