There is a difference. I'll put it another way. A farmer has cor to sell. He looks at the price and either decides to sell or not. A fert manufacturer has fertilizer to sell and sets a price. Farmers either buy or they don't. Yes they are both somewhat an open market, even though Fert is not publicly traded the same way. In the end the farmer is a price taker on both ends. The fert manufacturers do have some say up front in prices they charge. The Farmer does not. Patrick
