If you love seafood, great sandwiches and food on the wharf.

Bus tour is a must.  Can get on and off thru the city option is nice.

We liked Sausalito, nice shore town to walk along.

We found a winery at random an enjoyed the patio relaxing one afternoon even though we aren't much for wine drinking.

We rented a car for 2 days.  Wife wouldn't let me recreate "The Bullitt" chase scene no matter how much I begged.

Lots of personalities and street performers.  I talked to a few which must be a midwestern thing because they seemed to be surprised.  A couple were entertaining to talk to.
