North of London | You have some good numbers on fuel that will be good when they start talking about different fuels.
I do not crunch them like that but my RAM has a fuel economy that shows on the dash.
How you drive makes a BIG difference in fuel economy.
I can keep the fuel consumption around 12-14 litres per 100 kms doing all the normal driving around home which means lots of short runs.
It goes WAY up when I use it to soil sample a farm, crawling along and stopped idling while I reach out door to sample.
When my son or son in law borrow it the usage is around 16 when it returns.
On a long drive to our daughters just over 2 hours on mostly controlled access with cruise set at 115 km/hr it will get down to 10 some litres/100 kms
One night coming home from her place and all the lights co operated through London 1 got consumption down to 9.9
Think there was a good stretch of construction with speeds down to 80 on the 401 that night too.
Light foot on accelerator from starts and keeping speed down makes a difference. | |
