Aggieland
Rancherman,

The truck has only had the workbed on it since last May and across the scales I only added about 800lbs to the truck. The truck did have a 120gal L tank in it from the previous owner.

The noise is definitely rotational and changes based on acceleration but quits all together most of the time above 30mph. I hear it the worst for the first mile or two every morning when it’s cooler than 75 outside. I didn’t hear it for three months almost as our temps were fairly warm even overnight.

This truck doesn’t have a carrier bearing, it’s a long single piece aluminum driveshaft.

I recently changed the fluid in the transfer case thinking the rebuilder had put the wrong fluid in it. He might have as the old fluid came out red but the new gm specified fluid was blue.....but this could have been just like antifreeze where you can’t judge a book by its color. But based on the quality of his rebuild I fear it was just regular atf, if it hurt it I really don’t know.
Thanks for the reply.

Caleb
