Had one do that before and it turned out to be the pinion seal on the rear end making the squeak.
So this makes perfect sense because the pinion seal is obviously leaking now from the side load it’s been put under from the axle rotating. The rear diff was rebuilt 18mo ago along with the transfer case. The transfer case then got rebuilt again 6mo later due to clunking sounds. This is when I realized the owner of the shop was in a midlife crisis and not doing the work he built his shop in and was more interested in partying. So now I’m trying to find a new shop in town that rebuilds axles and stuff. Im going to get the pinion seal replaced too now and I bet it fixes the squeak. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I honestly hadn’t thought about the pinion making the noise, I was hell bent it was the transfer case or ujoints.
