Because many dairies are breeding their "bottom end" cows to Angus in order to get a premium for the calf. What he doesn't understand though is that AI has been so predominant in the dairy industry for the last 50+ years so there really aren't many bad genetics left in holsteins.

I wouldn't be a bit scared of the holstein/angus crosses for what he wants to do.
