| The way some of you guys deal with your neighbors, it’s no wonder the world is in the shape it is in. It’s obvious you believe in the Old Testament, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth and not the New Testament where it says if your neighbor takes your coat give him your shirt also. It sure makes me appreciate my neighbors. Several years ago the local Coop ran out of spray or something on the last round of my soybeans and those rows of beans had a bunch or velvet leaf in it. When the neighbor was spraying his beans he saw what was going on and sprayed those rows of beans for me. I did not know anything about it, neither the fact that the Coop did not spray all my beans, nor the fact that the neighbor sprayed them for me, until well after harvest, when I was talking with the neighbor one day and he told me about it. When I offered to pay him for it he refused to take pay and said that he was sure I would have done the same for him had the situation been turned around. Now thinking about it, I guess I could have done like some of you and taken him to court for trespassing. | |
