 West Tennessee | Learn something new everyday. I've hooked up many 220 and 110 panels. Never thought (or knew) about the fact that each leg coming in was a different phase. I've even seen two 110 breakers used to make a 220 circuit. Obviously even then though they have to be hooked to different legs. I never really realized that in a standard box each row of breakers is hooked to alternating legs. If you tried to hook two up (for a 220 circuit) that were say 1 breaker apart they would be on the same phase and won't work. Very interesting. Thanks for straightening me out. | |
