Sunburst Montana | Kind of funny because JD's own tests back in the 50s between their own 100 hp two wheel drive creation and a Wagner showed the futility of a 2-WD. In the early 80s we seeded with a JD 4640 pulling 40ft of 9350 hoe drills. Had one particular wet spring and when we got to the hills, the 4640 just spun out. So we went and got the IH TD-14A out of retirement and actually finished seeding the hills. That thing was only half the horsepower if that of the 4640 but it had the traction.
