John, when I first started the stuff my heart surgeon told me "Coumadin is your friend". Well, he was right but it's sure a fickle friend sometimes.
If my protime tests a bit low or high I can usually tweak the dosage myself by adding or subtracting a pill over a couple days time. I can usually stretch monthly protime appts to 6 weeks.
If the dr makes a major correction on my dosage sometimes he gets me all screwed up.
I'm glad to hear your mother is doing well with her device. I have an uncle in his 80's who is on his 3rd or 4th pacer. He and I take a lot of the same stuff even though he has almost 40 yrs on me LOL!
