The latest being how the government shutdown has went-- A government shutdown is never a good thing in the minds of the Stock Market but how this one went is long term troubling to traders. The Senate put together a plan that Trump said he would accept then the market watched as a complete monkey wrench was thrown into it by the very same president that said OK. Simply because a group of right wing talking heads started to criticize the president for his actions.
If trump would have stated from the start and stuck to his statement ( whatever that statement would have been ) the stock market Participants would not fear the future nears as much as they do now.
Add to that his recent knee jerk and irrational moves in foreign policy
and the market has a whole new level of fear looking to the future.
I would guess until the market see's something that resembles steadiness and thoughtfulness from this countries leadership a flight to safety will be the easy play | |
