Starbuck Manitoba Canada | I seems the mentality has shifted form "This market has a long way to go before it peaks.) to a "The market has broken and it is a sellers market."
The average baby boomer is now 64 years old, and they are pulling and will continue to pull their money out and put it into interest bearing accounts. Add to that many young people leaving post secondary education have an average dept load of $30,000.00. They are not in a position to take up the slack of the draw. Now throw in that the service industry has grown to the point where most people do not do the simplest tasks on their own. When last in our city I saw a very nice pet grooming place, I think that says a lot. In a slow down people pull back and reluctantly start to do without a few luxuries. Multiply that and everything unravels in a hurry. Hate to say it but we could be witnessing the beginning of a reset. One that in my opinion is long overdo. | |
