What machine is it on--do you know what kind of antifreeze? Who did the testing?

These strips test both nitrite and moly, which to my understanding means they work with a wider range of coolant than many alternate strips. But my understanding is you can have coolant with moly and no nitrite, nitrite and no moly, or a combination of both, depending on the exact formulation.

As noted these strips have an expiration. Directions for use are also pretty specific, so I'd imagine results could vary if not followed exactly.

In summary, additive pad being white wouldn't scare me depending on what coolant is being tested. The center pass color being off could be because the strips are expired or otherwise compromised, pic taken to soon or too long after dipping, coolant wrong temp, strip shaken off after dipping when not supposed to be, or any other manner of user error.

it took the salesman 2 days, to to the test after I overnighted the new strips after waiting 8 days for something to happen
