Churdan, IA | Yes we did 3 years ago. Was not good. NH3 performs better without N-Serve than Urea does. Assumption reached was NH3 induces a quick kill off of nitrifying bacteria in about a 6" zone which inhibits nitrification and leeching. Urea placed in a tight band and treated with N-Serve is more stable than NH3 treated with N-Serve because NH3 plumes out into a 6" zone rather than staying in a tight 1" band. This tight band allows the N-Serve to treat a smaller zone of nitrifying bacteria creating a stronger fortification. | |
