Only thing I can see would be to make more margin on fewer cars. For example if you have a small dealer selling two cars a week he needs to make $1000 per car to survive. A big dealer selling 10 cars per week can get by on $500 per car - this leaves an extra $500 on the table for GM to keep or allow it to be passed on to the consumer to increase sales. I am just pulling these figures out of the air and have no idea how much car dealers make. | |
