Subject: Growing Oats...

western mn
We all talk about growing different crops to put more rotation back in our farming system, we've been 50/50 corn beans for 20 years, since wheat yields kept dropping off Along with the price, but looking at doing some oats on some acres for next year, what's the plus side to Oats if any, growing for someone in particular, or sell the grain and straw, or what spurs interest if any to those of you that grow some oats, maybe some things have changed since we've done any, better varieties, or selling straw to certain parties.. I guess I'm just curious, to those who grow oats, what works for you and keeps the crop in your lineup. .. just curious, Thanks
