Subject: RE: pi testing on cattle

North Alabama
I would like to know how you can tell by looking at the calves if they are pi positive? What are some of the symptoms? They are just a carrier of virus. In my experience with pi positive calves they can be the best looking calf in the pen.In my area were you can’t buy big groups of calves off one farm I wouldn’t put together a group without pi testing.May seem like a waste of money to test until you get a positive in a pen of 60 calves.
