Jim, I was agreeing with oldtiger about future regulations.

On here its always talk of the little guy is going away and there will be just a few big operations. That's been going on for the past 100 years and it's still the same. Mega dairies aren't new. Over 20 years ago several were built from here to new mexico. We aren't talking about 2 or 5000 hd operations but 20 or 30000 head operations. Neighbor with plenty of cash built one. It was set to peak at 30k head. He didn't run out of money, epa caught up to him. All the huge dairies faced changes in lending, water usage, and waste regulations. It shut them down. Those big guys that were going to take all the market, never made it work. In agriculture, there is always those that fall, and regulations have a lot to do with it and always have. When regulations hit a giant with his pants down, he falls really hard.

The regulators are moving from using the mega whatever for a target down to what is often called 'normal' in ag today imo.

In a lot of other industries they have everyone by the short and curlies!
