Driftless SW Wisconsin

It isn't that key buzzword, REGULATIONS, causing the excess dairy production and low dairy prices of today!!!!!

We just had a multi thousand cow dairy built from scratch in the middle of Amish country.  There are several dairies nearby EXPANDING from 1000 cows to 1500 or 2000, evidently because they can't make any money with just 1000.   This production is going where????

And every 5000 cow dairy produces a lot of Holstein bull calves each year...which might have something to do with a group of  several day old Holstein bull calves being dumped on the loading dock at Bloomington's slaughter sale the other day...should really make Holstein fat steers profitable, eh?

Please save me from the "blame-govt-regulations" for the dairy situation (and about anything else)
