| My dad had a part of his yard near St. Louis in Zoyzia. The new owner has most of the front yard in Zoyzia sod as well as their own house next door. The county ripped out half the front yards for a huge storm sewer and they got to put back Zoyzia sod. My dad also plugged it in the cemetery where he now resides and it took over about half that in 30 or 40 years about 100 miles south of St. Louis. I think its more golden than brown, but it does tend to go dormant in very hot weather. It stood up to heavy dethatching in his yard where he used a dethathing blade on his lawn mower and then raked up grass by the Jeep trailer load to go on his compost pile.
I need to go plug or sod over his grave, but I doubt I can get to the cemetery right now, the low water crossing is probably deep enough to need a dump truck to cross.
