United Kingdom | Hi All, Just joined your forum and I am hoping that someone may be able to help with my problem. I have a Cat V225B 22,500lb
forklift truck with a 3208 v8 engine. The problem i have is that the throttle spindle seal leaks allowing air to get into the pump gallery when the engine is stopped causing a starting issue if the truck is standing for more than 24 hours. To then start I have to pump the hand primer on the filter head until fuel sprays from the faulty seal the truck will then start fine. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the housing on the back of the pump can be removed with the pump in situ to allow the seal to be renewed or if this seal can in fact be picked out and fitted from the outside without dismantling. Many thanks in advance for any replies.
