western OK panhandle | Puff, it's just one of those things that happens that you can't really put your finger on. I think the previous replies are about as close as it gets. It may be some birth defect, lack of milk, lack of try, some disease like mycoplasma - who knows? I think I have pretty nice cattle, and I spend pretty good money every year on bulls, but I'm a low cost producer. I don't suppliment the calves or the cows. Some do not thrive, but most are just fine. I don't try for home runs, just base hits and maybe a double every once in a while. | |
